ACCOMMODATIONS
All rooms include air conditioning, servi-bar, TV, in house
movies, coffee maker, iron/ironing board, radio, hair dryer, in-room safe.
Availability of two beds in a room is very limited. Choice of bedding in
rooms are 1 king size bed or 2 double beds. Specific bedding requests are
fulfilled based on availability and cannot always be guaranteed.
- ROOMS GARDENVIEW:
located mainly on the first and second floor of the hillside buildings, most
offer no balcony or patio.
- POOLVIEW: located
in buildings directly facing pool, near the beach.
- OCEANVIEW:
located in the hillside buildings on the higher floors, some rooms have
balcony or patio, on request basis only.
- BEACHFRONT:
located in two-story buildings beachside, offering direct magnificent views
of the bay.
SUITES/TOWNHOUSE
- ONE-BEDROOM KING SUITE:
1 king size bed, located in the hillside buildings with oceanview, featuring
a bedroom and a separate living room with sofa bed. Bathrooms have a large
marble bath and a whirlpool.
- TWO BEDROOM TOWNHOUSE:
located in the hillside buildings with ocean views. These bi-level
townhouses feature first floor living room with sofa-bed and second floor
bedrooms with separate bathrooms. Master bedroom has 1 king size bed, marble
bath and whirlpool. Second bedroom has 2 double beds.
VILLAS
- STUDIO VILLA, 1, 2 AND 3
BEDROOM VILLAS: For extra space and total privacy the resort
offers 67 Hillside and Garden Villas. Generous in size and fully equipped
the vacation villas are ideal for larger families and couples looking for
the ultimate in privacy and intimacy. Hillside Villas include studios, 1
bedroom and 2 bedroom villas with semi private swimming pools. The 3 bedroom
Garden Villas all feature private pools. The Westin St John Resort Villas
are you home away from home and feature turnkey amenities including full
kitchens, washer and dryer and separate living areas.

MISCELLANEOUS
- Westin Kids Club® extends far beyond the baby-sitting
services and children's menus offered at other resorts. Upon check-in, every
child receives a Westin Kids Club sports bottle or sippy cup which is filled
with complimentary beverages at mealtime. Westin’s younger guests also
receive other amenities including coloring books and bath toys. And Westin
Kids Club® is the only hotel children’s program which offers special
services and amenities for infants.
TRANSFER
INFORMATION (Info given 04/18/02)
As part of the hotels continuing effort to streamline the
guests arrival and departure experience, the hotel is now operating private
ferry transfers out of Crown Bay Marina, rather than the Charlotte Amalie
Waterfront. The new departure point is a short 10 minute taxi drive from the
airport, and is home to marina, shops, and restaurants. As in the past, the
transfer fee includes gratuities for taxi & ferry, and unlimited return
trips to St. Thomas for shopping. The Spring/Summer schedule for airport
arrivals is as follows: Dept from Crown Bay Marina: 11am, 1:15pm, 3pm, 4:45pm,
6pm and 7:30pm. Arrivals after 7:30pm will be driven 30 mins. to the National
Park Dock on the East end of STT, where a 15min water taxi ride will bring them
to the Westin on St. John.

HURRICANE*
GUARANTEE
- Policy- In the event of a hurricane* on the islands of
St. John or St. Thomas, The Westin Resort, St. John will replace a guest's
vacation for the entire duration of the reservation. This guarantee applies
to room and applicable taxes. This policy is applicable to transient
reservations and groups as stipulated in their contracts.
The stipulations that apply as follows:
- Replacement vacation must be taken at The Westin
Resort, St. John within one calendar year. Reservations for comparable
accommodations will be made on a space available basis. Black out dates
do apply (as determined in our sole discretion).
- Any commission owed to travel agents will be paid
on the stay interrupted by the hurricane.
- Other expenses including, but not limited to,
airfares, food and beverage, or chartered services are not included or
covered by this guarantee.
- The guarantee offered by Starwood Hotels and
Resorts is subject to change at the discretion of the operator at any
time without notice.
Guests holding confirmed and fully deposited reservations
(and are within the non-refundable deposit window) that are unable to travel to
the resort due to a hurricane* closing the St. Thomas airport or The Westin St.
John Resort will be given the option of a full refund or a one room category
upgrade, based on space availability, on their next visit to The Westin St. John
Resort within one calendar year.
*A Hurricane is defined/validated by the National
Hurricane Center, typically a tropical cyclone in which the maximum sustained
surface wind is 74 mph (64 knots) or greater.
