ACCOMMODATIONS
All rooms have plasma wide-screen television, DVD CD player, stereo, private bar, personal in-room safe, and a convenient telephone system with direct dial access.  Averaging 900 square feet, rooms at Sandy Lane are spacious and uniquely feature a large private verandah.  All rooms have specially designed multi-spray showers, heated mirrors in the bathroom, parabolic speakers on verandah and in the bathroom and a range of 5 star features that ensure you stay is both memorable and very comfortable.

Sandy Lane has 112 luxury rooms and suites comprising:

• ORCHID ROOMS (26) - LOCATED IN ORCHID WING
  These garden rooms are 779 square feet and overlook the tropical gardens. The bathrooms are spacious and cover an area, which is 21.10' in length and 14.2' wide. These marble bathrooms have a double vanity, separate tub and shower area, with WC and bidet located in their own room. 
• TWO BEDROOM LUXURY ORCHID SUITES (6)- LOCATED IN ORCHID WING
  These two bedroom garden suites, overlooking the tropical gardens are 1,575 square feet in size with a 25' x 8' patio for total comfort and relaxation, and afford a stunning view of the gardens. They include an elegant living room and dining area, along with a double vanity, bidet, WC, separate shower and tub in the master bedroom. The second bedroom has its own private balcony and separate tub and vanity in the bathroom. 
• OCEAN ROOMS (10) - LOCATED IN TURTLE WING
  These spacious ocean rooms are 707 square feet in size. They overlook the clear, blue waters of the Caribbean Sea, and are centrally located. These rooms include double vanity, bidet, WC, separate shower and tub. 
• LUXURY OCEAN ROOMS (60) - LOCATED IN SEAHORSE & DOLPHIN WINGS
  These ocean rooms are 867 square feet in size. They all have spectacular views of the sea and an impressive view of the sun setting in the evenings. These rooms include a double vanity, bidet, WC, separate shower, tub, and a lady's make-up area.
• ONE-BEDROOM DOLPHIN SUITES (5) - LOCATED IN DOLPHIN WING
  These one-bedroom suites are set in a unique architectural style and afford a stunning view of the calm, tranquil waters of the Caribbean Sea. These suites are 1,443 square feet in size, have a warm residential feel, are very spacious and are enhanced by a 25' x 11.6' patio for total relaxation. They include a large living room, dining area and a master bedroom with double vanity, bidet, WC, separate shower, tub, walk-in closet and a separate powder room with WC and vanity. 
• TWO BEDROOM LUXURY DOLPHIN SUITES (3) - LOCATED IN DOLPHIN WING
  These two bedroom suites are 1,575 square feet in size, with a refreshing view of the ocean and are elegantly decorated. They include a living room and dining area. In the master bedroom there is a walk-in closet, a double vanity, bidet, WC, separate shower and tub. There is also a separate powder room with WC, shower and vanity. The second guest bedroom has twin beds with its own private balcony.
• PENTHOUSE SUITES (2) - LOCATED IN ORCHID WING
  These signature two bedroom penthouses have a unique décor and are set amidst the most beautifully manicured gardens. They are 3, 971 square feet in size and consist of a large elegant foyer, living and dining area, kitchen, a master bedroom with double vanity, bidet, WC, separate shower and whirlpool tub, walk in closets and a separate powder room with its own WC, shower and vanity. N.B. These penthouse suites can connect to a two bedroom Luxury Orchid suite to combine as a four-bedroom penthouse. The Luxury Orchid suite is 1,575 square feet in size.

DINING
One of the most important elements of any holiday is the culinary experience. Sandy Lane has been designed in an elegant yet understated style and has three restaurants plus four bars located around the resort for your convenience and pleasure.  Take a stroll through the lush, landscaped gardens prior to an intimate aperitif or cocktail in the aptly-named Monkey Bar, with its intriguingly decorative murals and ceiling, or in the Terrace Lounge or Beach Bar.

RESTAURANTS

• L'ACAJOU:  Sandy Lane's Signature restaurant is located on the Foyer Level, where we invite you to enjoy French international cuisine and fine wines in an open-air waterfront setting. The menu showcases the freshest island seafood, local delicacies and the best of imported products.  Two hundred and fifty years ago the land on which Sandy Lane is built was a dense mahogany grove. Today several of these beautiful trees remain in front of the terrace to L'Acajou, which is the French translation for mahogany.  The cuisine is prepared in a European style with hints of Asia, food that is innovative, exciting and full of different textures and flavors.
• BAJAN BLUE:  The hotel's all-day casual dining option, located on the Beach Level, where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner in a beachside setting.  At Bajan Blue, we invite you to discover and enjoy the diverse cultures, which have influenced the Caribbean cuisine. Every effort has been made to incorporate local products and fresh ingredients in our menu.  The hotel's Culinary team use a variety of cooking techniques to enhance your dining experience. Please use our menu as a guideline for your selection. If you require any other items or have any special dietary needs, please do not hesitate to let us know.  

BARS

• Monkey Bar:  Enjoy your favorite cocktail or after-dinner liqueur in a lively setting situated on the ground floor of the hotel. A fine selection of single malts, aged rums and cognacs, complemented by a selection of caviar and appetizers.
• Beach Bar:  Located beachside, this bar offers an extensive selection of cold beverages during the day. With its impeccable service and friendly atmosphere, this is the perfect place to relax and indulge yourself.
• Pool Bar:  A casual poolside setting close to the Spa offering drinks throughout the day.
• The Country Club Restaurant:  The Country Club restaurant is ideally positioned overlooking the 18th green - perched on a ridge, high above the coastline with a stunning view across the rolling fairways down to the serene Caribbean Seas below. It is a wonderful spot for casual dining in an elegant atmosphere; the all-day menu offers light fare with a Caribbean flare and the service not only meets, but anticipates your every need. Open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the Country Club is as popular with golfers as it is with visitors all of whom are warmly welcomed. Designed with the needs of younger guests in mind, the Treehouse Club is where children have the freedom to enjoy themselves in their own way under the supervision of our experienced and enthusiastic staff -while you relax and unwind on the beach. Professional counselors plan daily themed activities, which encourage children to express themselves through arts and crafts, drama, sports and games.

A visit to the beach will be a most relaxing experience.

The attendants will ensure that you are seated in the location of your choice, and they will cater to your every need, providing you with all your food service and delivering refreshing chilled beverages to quench your thirst.

Beach Club No visit to the beach would be complete without a walk south to the Beach Club, where a complete range of water sports is available under the guidance of our qualified water sports attendants. Activities include water-skiing, banana rides, kayaking, catamaran sailing ... even a trip to swim with the turtles. Reservations for these and many more exciting activities can be made directly at the Beach Club. Scuba diving and deep-sea fishing charters can also be arranged through the Beach Club.

Pool If you prefer to swim in fresh water, then visit our pool, which is adjacent to the Spa. Swim in the serenity of the gardens, where you will find our pool attendants anxious to ensure that all of your needs are met. Out of the water, your appetite can be satisfied on the Pool deck with choices from our pool menu.

Children under the age of three can visit their 'branch" of the Treehouse Club when accompanied by an adult. A selection of age-appropriate toys, puzzles and games are available for hours of fun out of the sun's rays.

The Den is for teenagers. Young adults aged 13 and over can enjoy their own lounge with an adjoining games room, featuring pool, air hockey and football ... not to mention popular board games, a jukebox and the very latest high-tech computers. TREEHOUSE CLUB

Join the Fun

By filling out a registration and permission form, your children may enjoy unlimited visits to the Center. Membership in the Tree House Club is complimentary, including all on property activities. All children must be in good health and out of diapers. Children under 3 may visit the Center with a babysitter nanny. Please dress children in comfortable clothes, tennis shoes and hat. Don't forget the sunscreen!

Parents Welcome!

Parents are welcome to join the fun anytime. Watch for special events designed for the whole family at holiday times!

Christmas celebrations include a Caribbean Carnival, Santa's arrival on the beach, New Year's Eve parties for kids and teens and family excursions. Easter traditions feature egg decorating, Easter Bonnet Parade, lawn games and gigantic egg hunt. Teen social activities, family entertainment and excursions to local areas of interest are always part of Sandy Lane Holiday programs.

Toys, outdoor games, sand toys, board games, puzzles and more are available at the Center, on the beach or on the Lawn. Activities and games for ages 3 to teen are kept in the center.

AGES 3 - 6 YEARS

• Oceans of Fun: What wonderful surprises are found in the sea and on the sand for us to discover through a beach walk, sand crafts and shell hunts.
• Alphabet Soup: Learn the ABC's of fun at the Treehouse Club by playing alphabet games, making alphabet pasta designs and finding the alphabet on a letter hunt.
• Fins, Feathers and Fur: Furry, fine feathered and fishy friends are looking forward to meeting you on a nature walk or excursion. Monkey walk, crab crawl or elephant lumber up to the Treehouse Club and learn more.

AGES 7 - 12 YEARS:

• Caribbean Carnival: Learn to limbo, design a costume, dance to music and experience the basics of stilt walking with this island themed adventure.
• Sandy Lane All Sports: Good sportsmanship, good competition and good games equal good fun for all who join this Olympic day.
• Fly Fun Festival: Fly high with activities and crafts all about kites, airplanes and the wild blue yonder.

GOLF

A GOLFER'S PARADISE ... 3 COURSES ... 3 VERY DIFFERENT EXPERIENCES The focal point of golf at Sandy Lane is our impressive Club House overlooking the 18th Hole of The Country Club Course and The Green Monkey. The clubhouse serves the three Sandy Lane courses: The Old Nine, the Tom Fazio designed Country Club Course and the spectacular Green Monkey Course.

Facilities

Tastefully decorated with every modern convenience a golfer or visitor would require. The Country Club has a restaurant and bar, lounge areas, an extensive pro shop, locker facilities and private rooms which come equipped with plasma TV screens.

		Pro Shop The Pro Shop at The Country Club carries an extensive selection of golf equipment and clothing, including brands such as Nike, Bobby Jones, Tommy Hilfiger and Titleist.
		Locker Rooms The modern facilities in the clubhouse allow golfers the chance to feel pampered and relaxed, especially after a challenging round of golf. The Locker Rooms are spacious and luxurious with private lounge rooms attached.
		Restaurant & Bar Non-golfing families and friends can meet for drinks or refreshments. Our restaurant has an all day menu and is open to the public seven days a week.

Shoes and clubs can be rented. The golf carts, included in the green fee at The Country Club, are fitted with a GPS system. This is a global positioning satellite system which shows your location to the green or hazards such as bunkers. The system also provides tips on the best way to play the hole. You can also use the GPS to order light refreshments.

When playing at Sandy Lane, soft spikes are required. Carts are also compulsory on The Country Club and must be accompanies by one caddie per cart who will assist with local knowledge and other services. Whatever your handicap, Sandy Lane offers the golfer a personal challenge. Whether it is the intimate and winding Old Nine, the long and challenging Country Club or the soon-to-be complete, challenging and exciting Green Monkey, we believe that your golfing experience will bring you back, time and time again.

THE COURSES

Three courses all with their own unique challenges

THE GREEN MONKEY
The dramatic Green Monkey course has been designed by Tom Fazio. This course was carved out of the quarry formerly located there.

THE COUNTRY CLUB
at 7060 yards, Par 74.7, this challenging course features lush greens, five lakes and lovely open fairways with angled slopes. Most holes offer spectacular Caribbean Sea views, and are shared with the famous Bajan Green Monkeys, which live in the gullies in and around the course. The course is comprised of 5 par threes, 8 par fours, and 5 par fives.

THE OLD NINE
The famous Old Nine course, constructed in 1961, is intimate yet challenging. With its tree-lined fairways, it still winds its way magically through the old estate.

THE DRIVING RANGE
The 450-yard driving range is located at The Country Club. Its two-sided north and south tees provide the challenge of hitting against the trade winds.

TENNIS

TENNIS At the Tennis Club, nine championship floodlit tennis courts include a stadium court and offer a choice of a cushioned hard surface or an artificial grass surface.

Our resident tennis professional can arrange lessons and will organize tournaments and "round robins". The professional will arrange partners who can hit with players at any skill level. A ball machine is available on request. Extra services, provided at additional charges, include practice sessions with the resident tennis professional, stringing and gripping of racquets.
