ACCOMMODATIONS
The Palace's 553 guest rooms have been refurbished with traditional mahogany furnishings and updated fixtures. The guest rooms feature individually-controlled air conditioning and heating units, safe deposit boxes, refrigerators and hook-ups for personal computers and facsimile machines. In addition, the rooms feature cable television, Web-TV, video check-out, in-room movies, AM/FM clock radios with alarms and telephones with custom message, conference call, voice mail and call waiting features. Each bathroom features marble vanity, tiled flooring, hair dryer, magnifying mirror, telephone and deluxe amenities.

In all of the suites, the historical ambiance blends seamlessly with the latest modern conveniences. The original fireplaces are still in place in the Ambassador Suite, Chancellor's Suite, Governor's Suite and Presidential Suite, although fire code prevents their use today.

A New Look for San Francisco's Palace Hotel
Numerous upgrades have been added specifically for the business traveler. A beautiful full-sized mahogany desk with a comfortable chair will be featured in each room. Flat safes appropriate for laptop computer storage are built into the armoire. New lighting allows guests the choice of soft lighting for relaxation or bright light for the at-home office environment. Tabletop lamps feature base electrical and telephone outlets in order to provide convenient hookups for laptop computers and appliances.
The Palace Hotel offers a spacious guest room bath beautifully appointed with marble counters, polished brass and chrome fixtures, and lighted mirrors. New shower heads with broader spray and multiple massage settings have been added to each bath. A custom designed amenity line is featured in each room for traveler convenience. The new color palette of soft cream, shades of blue and butter yellow is fresh, warm and inviting. New beds include an ultimate comfort mattress dressed with a down comforter, large fluffy pillows and a cozy throw. Elegant draperies complement the interior and provide maximum privacy. The new interior of the Palace guest room creates a perfect balance of practicality and comfort. Once again, the Palace seamlessly merges old world charm with new world modern technology in order to provide the ultimate in luxury hotel experience.

Crowned by a stained glass dome and shimmering chandeliers, the hotels former carriage entrance is now recognized as one of the world's most beautiful dining rooms--The Garden Court.
As sunlight illuminates the dome, one feels as if they are sitting in a garden atrium, albeit one with elegant chandeliers, lush greenery and towering marble columns. This world famous restaurant provides an elegant setting for breakfast, lunch, Saturday afternoon tea or Sunday brunch. Open daily.

A relaxed, inviting atmosphere and a menu featuring innovative California cuisine make Maxfield's a favorite for lunch and dinner. Open daily.

Recognized as San Francisco's premier Japanese Restaurant, Kyo-ya serves jewel like sushi and traditional Japanese cuisine in a stylish setting. Open for lunch (Tuesday -Friday) and dinner (Tuesday-Saturday).

Home of the Maxfield Parrish mural "The Pied Piper of Hamelin" and voted one of the "World's Seven Greatest Bars" - The Pied Piper provides a rich clubby atmosphere and the perfect place to unwind. Open daily.

AMENITIES

The Business Center provides secretarial services such as photocopying, package shipping and handling, and facsimile receipt and transmittal, as well as computer, audio visual, translation and notary public services.

Transportation such as shuttle service, car rental and limousine service may be arranged through the Concierge. Valet parking is available and the Palace Garage is conveniently located across the street from the main entrance of the hotel. San Francisco and Oakland International Airports are both just fifteen miles from the hotel. The subway, known as BART or Bay Area Rapid Transit, stops at Montgomery Station located in front of the hotel.
