RAIN FOREST AERIAL TRAM

 Explore the hanging gardens of the rain forest.
We will visit a private reserve of virgin forest located next to the Braulio Carrillo National Park. This natural wonder is 1 hour and 45 minutes from San José and the drive there is filled with beautiful panoramic views. Upon arrival, you will watch an educational 10 minute video explaining how this innovative "gondola" system was built. Then we will take a 45 minute walk on trails that will take us into the heart of the forest. We will then experience a 90 minute ride through the forest canopy as our naturalist guide explains the wonders of the tropical rainforest.

This exciting tour can be considered a thrill of a lifetime as you traverse through the tropical forest on a system of platforms and cables. Using very safe equipment and in the hands of expert guides, you'll climb to the tree tops for a birds eye view, and then experience the exhilaration as you rapidly glide between each of the 7 platforms. The average height above the ground is 70 feet, although the tree canopy decreases the feeling of height. The Canopy Tour is a great mixture of adrenalin combined with interpreting the forest's canopy. After the exhilaration we will serve a typical lunch for you to enjoy.

Board a comfortable yacht to cruise through the tranquil waters of the Gulf of Nicoya and anchor off the beautiful white sand beach of Tortuga Island.  This tour is a perfect way to spend a day in Costa Rica. Our first stop will be the Poas Volcano where you can gaze upon one of the worlds largest craters and enjoy a short hike to it's emerald green lagoon. Thereafter, we will travel south towards the Caribbean until we reach the heavenly waterfall gardens of La Paz Forest. Here you will travel along the truly spectacular nature trails that will lead you to several waterfalls, where a delicious lunch will be served for your enjoyment. We will then head out to the Sarapiqui River and board a comfortable boat for a one hour ride through the jungle. Here you'll be likely to spot monkeys, iguanas, a multitude of bird species and even the occasional crocodile. It begins with an orientation and a drive through the largest urban park of Costa Rica. Next, we will take a walking tour through the historical National Theater. Completed in 1987, the theater is a masterpiece of art and architecture. Afterwards we will visit one of the many unique museums of Costa Rica. We will also visit the University of Costa Rica, the Supreme Court and various other sites of interest. A brief stop will be made in Moravia allowing you to browse through the beautiful carts and crafts shops located in this area before returning to your hotel.
