WEDDINGS

Built in 1889 during the height of the silver boom to rival the Ritz in Paris, the landmark Hotel Jerome is known affectionately as the "Grand Dame" of Aspen. Equipped to alleviate the stresses of planning any grand affair, the Hotel Jerome has a staff of meticulous on-site event planners to handle all arrangements, from organizing a rehearsal dinner for 20, to planning a wedding reception with dinner and dancing for 270 guests. The Hotel Jerome’s Catering and Conference Services Department can assist in finding a place on-site or off for the ceremony and reception, block rooms and set up activities for guests, make all of the menu arrangements, select table linens and table settings, and secure entertainment, flowers, photographers, as well as other special requests—resulting in a hassle-free wedding with more time for the bride and groom to enjoy Aspen and each other.

Perhaps one of the best reasons to hold a wedding at the Hotel Jerome or use its catering services, is the superlative cuisine created by Executive Chef Todd Slossberg, who was nominated in 2000 and 2001 as "Best Chef in the Southwest" by the James Beard Foundation. Chef Slossberg romances his guests with tantalizing American cuisine that captures the regional flavor. His emphasis on freshness, evidenced in his seasonal menus, is paramount to his philosophy of beautiful food, simply prepared. Tempting plated dinner entrée selections include: Roasted Colorado Rack of Lamb with Vegetable Cous Cous and Natural Lamb Jus or a Filet Mignon with Maine Lobster Tail, Truffled Mashers, Steamed Asparagus and Tarragon Shallot Demi.
