ACCOMMODATIONS
Four Seasons Resort Aviara’s Spanish Colonial architecture is designed to harmonize with the surrounding landscape. Each of the unusually spacious guest rooms and suites includes a furnished balcony or terrace, where guests can enjoy Aviara’s natural beauty.

GUEST ROOMS

• Moderate Room:  With views of the foothills, Moderate Rooms feature a furnished balcony or, for first-floor rooms, a step-out terrace that accesses the Resort grounds (on a request basis).   Including balcony or terrace, Moderate Rooms measure 540 square feet (50 square meters).  The sitting area is furnished with a sofa, arm chair and ottoman; an armoire houses the television and video player.  An oversized bathroom includes deep soaking tub and separate shower.
• Superior Room:  With enticing views of the gardens from the first or second floors, Superior Rooms feature a furnished balcony or, for first-floor rooms, a step-out terrace that accesses the Resort grounds (on a request basis).  Including the balcony or terrace, Superior Rooms measure 540 square feet (50 square meters).  The sitting area is furnished with a sofa, arm chair and ottoman; an armoire houses the television and video player.  The oversized bathroom features a deep soaking tub and separate shower.
• Deluxe Room:  Situated on the second through the fifth floors of the Resort, Deluxe Rooms offer views of the Palm Courtyard or pool area. Sliding French doors lead either to a furnished balcony or, upon request, a landscaped private terrace.  Each Deluxe Room, including the balcony, measures 540 square feet (50 square meters).  Sitting areas are furnished with a sofa, end-tables and arm chair; an armoire houses a television and video player.  The oversized bathroom features a deep soaking tub and separate shower.
• Panoramic View Room:  As their name suggests, Panoramic View Rooms feature superb vistas of the golf course or the Batiquitos Lagoon from a furnished balcony and sliding French doors.  Including the balcony, Panoramic View Rooms measure 540 square feet (50 square meters).  The sitting area is furnished with a sofa, armchair and ottoman; an armoire houses a television and video player.  An oversized bathroom features a deep soaking tub and separate shower.
• Four Seasons Suite:  Four Seasons Suites offer two large balconies or a landscaped terrace overlooking the Palm Courtyard or the pool area. Solid mirrored doors separate the bedroom from the parlor, ensuring privacy while meeting with colleagues or entertaining friends.  Situated on the first through the third floors throughout the Resort, Four Seasons Suites measure 855 square feet (79 square meters).  The parlor is furnished with a sofa bed, armchairs, writing desk and ottoman; an armoire houses television and video player in both bedroom and parlor.  The marble bathroom offers double sinks, a glass-enclosed shower and a separate deep-soaking tub.
• Deluxe Four Seasons Suite:   Deluxe Four Seasons Suites offer two large balconies with panoramic views of the golf course and Batiquitos Lagoon. Solid mirrored doors separate the bedroom from the parlor, ensuring privacy while meeting with colleagues or entertaining friends.  Deluxe Four Seasons Suites are situated throughout the Resort, and measure 855 square feet (79 square meters).  The parlor is furnished with a sofa bed, armchairs, writing desk and ottoman; an armoire houses television and video player in both parlor and bedroom.  The marble bathroom offers double sinks, a glass-enclosed shower and separate deep soaking tub; some suites have an extra bathroom (on a request basis).

SUITES

• One-Bedroom Suite:  One-Bedroom Suites offer views of the wildflower-edged fairways of the golf course and of the natural Batiquitos Lagoon. Two large balconies or a landscaped terrace are furnished with teak table and chairs.  One-Bedroom Suites feature solid mirrored doors secluding the bedroom from the parlor, to ensure privacy while entertaining.  Located throughout the Resort, One-Bedroom Suites measure 1,140 square feet (105 square meters).  The parlor is furnished with a sofa bed, armchairs, writing desk and ottoman; an armoire houses television and video player.  The master bathroom offers double sinks, a separate glass-enclosed shower, a deep soaking tub, and a private water closet.
• Deluxe Panoramic View Suite:  Deluxe Panoramic View Suites are available as one-bedroom or two-bedroom suites of up to 1,450 square feet (135 square meters. They feature panoramic views from two large balconies or a landscaped terrace, each furnished with teak table and chairs.  Deluxe Panoramic View Suites feature solid mirrored doors secluding the bedroom from the parlor, ensuring privacy while entertaining.  With one bedroom, the suites measure 1,130 square feet (105 square meters); with two, they measure 1,450 square feet (135 square meters).  The parlor is furnished with a sofa bed, armchairs, writing desk and ottoman; an armoire houses television and video player.  Each full bathroom offers double sinks, a glass-enclosed shower, a separate deep-soaking tub, and a private water closet.
• Luxury Suite:  Ideal for private entertaining, Luxury Suites offer a formal living room and a dining table for eight guests. Each is individually decorated, and can be configured as a one-bedroom or a two-bedroom suite. Luxury Suites feature two large balconies or a landscaped terrace from which to enjoy views of the golf course and lagoon.  Luxury Suites feature solid doors to seclude the bedroom(s) from the living room, ensuring privacy while entertaining.  The balconies or landscaped terrace are furnished with teak table and chairs. One-bedroom Luxury Suites measure 1,160 square feet (108 square meters); two-bedrooms measure 1,710 square feet (159 square meters). Each master bathroom offers double sinks, a separate glass-enclosed shower, a deep soaking tub, and a private water closet.
• Presidential Suite:  Featuring expressly imported marble, fabrics and murals, the Presidential Suite exudes the elegance of an Italian villa. A panoramic view of the golf course and Batiquitos Lagoon compliment luxurious quarters of up to three bedrooms and 3,240 square feet (301 square meters). Each bedroom and the spacious living room enjoy their own flower-bordered balcony.  Situated on the third floor, the Presidential Suite ranges from a one-bedroom measuring 2,140 square feet (198 square meters) to a three-bedroom of 3,240 square feet (301 square meters).  Luxurious appointments include a teak-accented interior and balconies adjacent to the living room and each bedroom.  Splendid views include the Batiquitos Lagoon and golf course.  The spacious living room is ideal for business or leisurely entertaining, furnished with sofas, armchairs, a games table and a completely recessed entertainment center.

DINING

• CALIFORNIA BISTRO:  A light and airy restaurant serving bistro-inspired cuisine on alfresco terraces overlooking the pristine fairways of our golf course. Seats 140 people indoors and 35 on the outdoor terrace.  Specialties:  The chefs combine the culinary comfort of the French bistro with light Pacific influences. A children's menu is offered to kids between the ages of 5 and 12.
• VIVACE:  Our contemporary Italian restaurant serves dishes from Northern Italy in a casual yet sophisticated and elegant atmosphere, by the fireplace or under the stars. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame views of the Pacific Ocean and the Batiquitos Lagoon.  This restaurant seats 112 guests indoors and 30 on the outside terrace. An intimate private dining room seats up to 12 guests.  Specialties: Contemporary Northern Italian cuisine. A children's menu is available.
• OCEAN POOL BAR & GRILL:  An oasis amongst the palm trees, this restaurant offers the best view of the Batiquitos Lagoon and the Pacific Ocean beyond. Guests can relax poolside and enjoy light lunch or sunset cocktails. The indoor restaurant is open to the public, but the pool deck is open to house guests only. The Ocean Pool Bar & Grill seats 80 in the restaurant and 235 outside on the comfortable lounge chairs.  Specialties: Enjoy fresh, fun and creative twists on American and Asian specialties. A children's menu is available.
• ARGYLE:  Overlooking the eighteenth green, Argyle serves breakfast, lunch or cocktails. Join us after the last putt or after an afternoon of bird watching around the Batiquitos Lagoon. This restaurant seats 131 people inside and 48 people outdoors.  Specialties: Argyle offers light California specialties. A children's menu is available.
• LOBBY LOUNGE:  The Lobby Lounge offers the elegant delights of formal afternoon tea in a light, airy setting. This Lounge features nightly entertainment. Soft jazz drifts through open French doors while the fireplace warms the night air. Champagne cocktails and eclectic martinis complement a wonderful selection of wines and international spirits.  Reservations recommended
• IN-ROOM DINING:  Four Seasons In-Room Dining is a fine-dining experience within the comfort and convenience of your guest room or suite. Choose from an extensive menu, day or night, ideal for time-zone hopping travelers, impromptu meetings or for quiet, private dining.  Specialties: Specialty menus include a Japanese breakfast and home style cooking. A wine list is offered, and a children's menu is also available.

SPA SERVICES

Four Seasons Resort Aviara offers an exceptionally rewarding, European-style spa retreat – immersed in the peace and natural beauty of Aviara. The newly renovated 15,000-square-foot (1,400-square-metre) spa is equipped with indoor and outdoor private treatment rooms, an indoor solarium lounge area, whirlpools, saunas, steam rooms and locker and dressing areas. In-room and poolside massage are available if reserved 24 hours in advance. Hair, nail and make-up services are provided by the on-site José Eber Salon.

The spa also features a couple's suite, designed with luxury and romance in mind, which is perfect for those celebrating a new marriage, an anniversary or another special occasion. Amenities include an intimate lounge area with marble fireplace and shower for two, an attached treatment room with side-by-side massage tables and a private patio with whirlpool.

FAMILY POOL

This kidney-shaped outdoor family pool is 6 feet (2 meters) deep and 80 feet (25 meters) long. It boasts an adjoining children's water feature that captivates young and old alike. There are also two whirlpools, including one just for adults. The expansive pool deck features deluxe chaises lounges and cabanas, where guests can relax at poolside with cool beverages, lunch or snacks from the Ocean Pool Bar and Grill.

Four Seasons Resort Aviara Golf Club offers one of the finest golf facilities available in southern California. Aviara's memorable 18-hole coastal layout was designed by Arnold Palmer. The 7,007-yard, par-72 course is sculpted around the natural topography, with water hazards positioned as visual extensions of the lagoon. The club includes a 32,000 square foot (3,000-square-metre) two-story Spanish colonial clubhouse with a complete golf shop.

TENNIS

A variety of fun and exciting tennis activities await you at Four Seasons Resort Aviara. The tennis program is managed by Peter Burwash International, the most successful tennis management company in the world. Stadium seating available on at least one court.

TENNIS LESSONS

Fees for tennis lessons vary based on the number of people and total number of hours booked. Lessons are available for adults and children. Racquets, shoes, ball machine and court rentals are complimentary with lessons.

CHILDREN

Four Seasons is a wonderful base for families. We always welcome our youngest guests with an amenity upon arrival. Bedtime milk and cookies, video game units, child-sized robes, complimentary cribs or no-tear shampoo are available for the asking. Children under 18 can share their parents' room at no extra charge. Help arranging anything from family diversions to babysitting services is as close as our ever-resourceful Concierge.

Each child receives an invitation to participate in Kids For All Seasons, the Resort's professionally organized children's program. The facilities are designed for children aged 4 to 12, though children younger than 4 are welcome to join the program with a parent or babysitter.

Each day begins with check-in at 9:00 am in the Play Room. Kids are introduced to their new friends, the counselors, and Avie the frog – the Kids For All Seasons mascot. They can play games, make crafts and read stories.

Kids order their own lunch, with options such as "Hot Hound with French Fries" or "Oodles of Macaroni Noodles" and desserts such as the "Fundae Sundae" – all selections of the extensive children's menu are offered throughout the Resort.

During afternoon walks to the Batiquitos Lagoon, an adjacent wildlife preserve, kids learn about endangered species that make this lagoon their home. On their return, they can stop by the life-size tepee for story-telling and games. They’ll fly kites, play soccer, kick-ball and Frisbee, and go on treasure and scavenger hunts. At the end of the day, kids feed the fish, say good-bye to Avie the frog and take their arts and crafts back to their guest room.

An extensive kids' menu is offered at each of the Resort's restaurants. As each family is seated, the younger children are given a snack or amenity.

Each Sunday, kids under 12 years will enjoy their own special Sunday Brunch. Each buffet table is set to the kids' height and filled with stuffed animals and kids' favorite foods, including sliced fruit, chicken strips, macaroni and cheese and fresh vegetables.

Kids for all Seasons is considered a drop-off center by the state of California, not a licensed facility. Each member of the Kids for All Seasons staff is first aid and CPR certified.

Kids for All Seasons program is complimentary for our Resort guests. Lunch will be charged to your guest room. For Resort Club owners, the children's program is available for a small fee for a full or half-day.

At least one parent must remain on property while their child participates in the Kids for All Seasons program.

In-room amenity:
Pastry chefs hand-write, in chocolate, the child's name on a plate filled with giant chocolate chip cookies; an ice-cold glass of milk and balloons complete the treat.

For children younger than 4 years old, special programs are available to ensure their stay is happy and safe. Housekeeping will outfit rooms with:
