ACCOMMODATIONS

  • Fairmont Room:  Located in the Main and Manor wings, Fairmont Rooms are comfortable for two occupants.  Bed Type: one King, one Queen bed, 2 Twin beds, or one Queen bed plus one Twin bed.  Size: approximately 185 sq. ft.
  • Fairmont Deluxe:  Fairmont Deluxe rooms offer the largest regular guest accommodations at The Fairmont Banff Springs. Rooms are located in the Main or Manor wings or in the Conference Center and are suitable for up to 4 adult occupants.  Bed Type: one King bed, one Queen-size bed, 2 Twin beds, 2 Queen beds or one Queen bed plus one Twin bed  Size: 210 sq. ft.
  • Banff Premier Room:  Banff Premier Rooms are luxuriously furnished in Scottish Highland or elegant traditional decor. Rooms are located in the Main or Manor wings of the hotel:
    Main Wing: Banff Premier rooms have unique architectural features that reflect the era in which the Hotel was constructed. These rooms are comfortable for 2 people. Available in smoking or non-smoking.  Bed Type: King or Queen bed  Size: 260 sq. ft.
    Manor Wing: Banff Premier rooms are comfortable and designed to reflect the familiar surroundings of home. These elegant traditional-styled rooms can accommodate from two to four people depending on bed configuration.  Bed Type: King or two Queens  Size: 260 sq. ft.
  • Junior Suite:  Junior Suites offer spacious accommodations with a defined bedroom and sitting area all within one large room. Located in the Main or Manor Wings of the hotel:
    Main Wing:
    Junior Suites are available in either smoking or non-smoking. Suitable for 2 people.  Bed Type: one Queen plus Sofa bed, or one Queen, one twin and a Sofa bed.  Size: 264 sq. ft.
    Manor Wing: Junior Suites are designed to meet the needs of families. Can accommodate a rollaway if needed. Please note that these rooms are available in non-smoking only.  Bed Type: two Queen beds.  Size: 305 sq. ft.
  • One-Bedroom Suite:  One-Bedroom suites are designed for guests that require more living space than traditional rooms. Located in both the Main Wing and the Tudor House, the suites offer a bedroom with an adjoining parlor.  Bed Type: one King bed plus the Sofa bed or 2 Queen beds plus the Sofa bed.  Size: 400 sq. ft.
  • Two-Bedroom Suite:  There are a limited number of Two-Bedroom suites available. Located in both the Main Wing and the Tudor House, the suites offer two bedrooms and an adjoining parlor.  Bed Type: King bed in master bedroom, 2 Twin beds in second bedroom and a Sofa bed in the parlor.  Size: 600 sq. ft.
  • Honeymoon Suite:  Honeymoon Suites are split-level rooms with staircases (some of them are spiral staircases).  Bed Type: one Queen bed.  Size: varies according to location in hotel.
  • Presidential Suite:  The Presidential Suite offers unsurpassed luxury for the stay of a lifetime. The master bedroom ensuite bathroom is finished in marble and has a whirlpool and shower. The split level living room boasts a working wood-burning fireplace, grand piano and library. Entertaining is a delight in this suite that offers a pantry, separate guest bathroom and stereo.  The Presidential Suite also offers the opportunity to secure the seven Fairmont Deluxe bedrooms that comprise the full Presidential area, at which point the rooms are serviced by a private elevator to the 10th, 11th and 12th floors.  Bed Type: King-sized canopy bed in master bedroom plus Queen-size sofa bed in the living room.  Size: 1000 sq. ft.  View: panoramic 360 degree view of the Spray and Bow River Valleys

This elegant and luxurious haven offers contemporary North American cuisine featuring the freshest ingredients prepared in a most innovative fashion.  A fine selection of single malt scotches combined with one of the most extensive wine cellars in Canada will complement your menu selection and enhance the evening. At the Banffshire Club you will be charmed by the atmosphere, while enchanting strains of the harp create an air of Scottish welcome. Vaulted ceilings and painted frescos, set against a warm backdrop of rich oak panels and wainscoting instill a sense of grandeur. Windows overlooking Sulphur Mountain are draped in the Malcolm tartan.   • Bow Valley Grill:  When you dine at the Bow Valley Grill, you'll savor the finest and freshest seasonal cuisine, while overlooking the Fairholme Mountain Range. The unique 50-ft. open kitchen provides an opportunity for you to interact with our talented chefs while your meals are being prepared.   The Bow Valley Grill offers a relaxing atmosphere that celebrates the spirit of the outdoors, with handcrafted mountain animal sculptures and tables constructed by local Alberta artisans, featuring the region's flora and fauna.
  • Castello Ristorante:  'Italian Courtyard in the Castle'  Savor the delicious flavors of Italy when you join us for dinner at Castello Ristorante. It will be a feast for the senses offering true Italian ambiance and fine Italian cuisine. Experience a very special evening of exquisite Italian fare including: bruschetta, veal cutlets, gourmet pizza, pasta, rib eye steak, lemon peppered seabass and minestrone soup.  The food is complemented by our fantastic wine list.   • Alhambra Dining Room:  For dinner, feast your taste buds and savor the ambiance and elegance of the Grand Ballroom of the Canadian Rockies. Enjoy an appetizing evening feast in our Alhambra Dining Room, featuring your favorites from prime rib, salmon and grilled bison, to freshly prepared salads and indulgent desserts while enjoying the live music of the High Life Band celebrating the golden era.
  • Samurai Restaurant:  Experience the true taste of Japan at the Samurai Restaurant.  You will find the freshest and finest sushi in town as well as shabu shabu and other traditional specialties in an authentic Japanese surroundings.  Let our Sushi Chefs and friendly staff inform you about our fresh seafood and sushi.
  • Waldhaus Restaurant:  The Waldhaus is the Banff Springs' 'House in the Forest'. The Bavarian Cottage-style building was erected in 1927 to be used as the Banff Springs Clubhouse and is set on the edge of the Golf Course and the Spray River.  Upstairs you will find an atmosphere reminiscent of an old hunting cottage with dark, rich wood paneling, a large fireplace and a beautiful, temperature controlled wine cabinet which houses an excellent wine selection.  The menu consists of authentic German dishes such as cheese and beef fondue, schnitzels, smoked rainbow trout, pheasant ragout, roasted duck, venison medallions, sauerbraten, chocolate fondue and apple strudel.
  • Waldhaus Pub:  Located beneath the Waldhaus Dining Room is Banff's best kept secret. Golf Academy
Enroll in The Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Academy and fine-tune your golf swing. Spend a half day with one of the golf pros and concentrate on the long or short aspects of your game.     General Information
    Renowned for its panoramic beauty, The Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course is a captivating and challenging layout set in the heart of Canada's Rocky Mountains. 

    The course offers just two simple things. First, a breathtaking view in every direction and second, a magnificent layout that thrills every golfer fortunate enough to spend a day here. Amateurs and professionals alike are constantly amazed by its panoramic challenge. From the actual hole design to the optical illusions created by the surrounding mountains, this course will delight and tempt you. 

    Stanley Thompson, Canada's master golf course architect, used his expert talent when he designed the original 18 holes in 1928. The course winds along the Bow River under the snow-capped peaks of Sulphur Mountain and Mount Rundle. In 1989, 9 holes were added, resulting in 27 holes of championship layout. 

    A golf academy and practice facility will assist you in sharpening your game before your day on the links. Club and shoe rentals are also available. 

    Transportation
    The Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course Club House is a 30-minute walk from the hotel. A shuttle service is available between the hotel and the Club House, and leaves every half hour (on the hour and half hour) from the hotel's main entrance.

Our Interpretative Mountain Heritage Winter Program, with a focus on learning and small groups, ensures an outdoor experience seldom achieved. Sharing the natural history and culture of the Canadian Rockies gives guests a true sense of our National Park heritage and interprets the role that Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has played in the history of the area.

Snowshoeing in the Rockies
Join a naturalist in the solitude of a snow filled forest and learn what the snow can tell you about wildlife and how animals deal with the harsh conditions of winter. This program is available Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. depending on snow conditions. Advance bookings are required, please see the Concierge.

Cross-Country Skiing
Highways to heaven full of Rocky Mountain Heritage. Enjoy endless, well-groomed trails and fresh mountain air as you glide with a guide through the wilderness on your cross-country skis. This program may be scheduled on request and is depending on snow conditions. A great way to try out a new winter activity. Advance bookings are required, please see the Concierge.

Nature of Banff - A Special Place
The valley surrounding the Fairmont Banff Springs is rich with spectacular scenery and tales of living with wildlife such as wolves, bears and cougar. Enjoy a half-day with one of our naturalists to visit the classic views and learn about the human and natural history that makes Banff National Park a World heritage site. This program is available Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. The Spirit of the Canyon Winter Walks
Feel the power of the mysterious frozen worlds in our narrow limestone canyons. Discover still waterfalls and pillars of blue ice. Sense the magic of this winter wonderland and come to know why native people felt these places to be sites of power and spirituality. This program is offered daily from 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Advance bookings are required, please see the Concierge.

Star Gazing
Mountain stars are most brilliant in winter. Come and use binoculars for a tour of the night sky. This activity is weather dependent. Advance bookings are required, please see the Concierge.

Clothing:
Wear winter attire including warm coat, boots, gloves and hat. The Heritage Program provides most of the equipment you may need including ice cleats for slippery terrain, hiking poles, backpacks, gaitors, rain gear and snowshoes. A limited number of hiking boots are also available. Warm clothing and cross country skis may be rented from The Ski Stop located in the Lower Level of the Conference Center.


Babysitting
Babysitting service is available at a price for up to three children. The caregivers can look after the children in the room or take them to different hotel activities (swimming, bowling, movie theatre, etc.). Advance reservations are required and may be made through the Concierge. A 24 hour cancellation policy applies to all reservations.

Bell Staff
Bellmen are located at the Main Entrance of the hotel. They will be happy to assist you with porterage and luggage storage.

Concierge
The Concierge Desk is located on the Mezzanine 1 level across from the main elevators. They will assist you with dinner and activity reservations, transportation and directions to major attractions. 

Gift Shops
15 new exciting shops have opened at The Fairmont Banff Springs this year. Please refer to the Shopping section of this website, under Explore Area, for detailed information on each of these exciting new shops.

Housekeeping
The Housekeeping staff will provide extra amenities such as cribs and cots at no extra cost.

Laundry Services
Dry-cleaning and laundry services are available to our guests. For same-day service, please inform the Royal Service and have your dry-cleaning or laundry ready for pick up by 8:30 a.m. Delivery will be done at 6:00 p.m. the same day. If laundry is picked up after 8:30 a.m., delivery will be done the following morning.

Parking
The hotel's parking is located beside the Convention Center. It is a three-level roofed parkade with 415 parking spaces.

Pet Policy
Small pets are permitted in the hotel at a price to a maximum of two pets. The animal must be supervised at all times and must be on a leash in public places. Seeing-eye dogs are always welcome at no charge.

Ski Storage
Skis are not allowed in the guest room. Therefore, the hotel is pleased to provide private ski storage, located by the Main Entrance.

Wheelchair Accessibility
The hotel has a total of 11 wheelchair accessible rooms. The rooms have large door frames and their bathroom has grab bars in the bathtub and by the toilet.
