The Avila Beach Hotel is unique in its history, location, architecture, atmosphere and lush tropical surroundings. The heart of the hotel is a beautiful Dutch Colonial style mansion, built in the late 18th century as the country house for the Governor of Curacao and still standing in its tranquil elegance, promising a taste of old world ambiance mixed with contemporary comfort and amenities. During the past 6 years, two exciting and luxurious wings, one on either side of the original buildings have been built. Stretching along 2 private beaches, which are divided by the Blues pier. The east wing, La Belle Alliance, was the first addition and keeps the style and architecture of Dutch Colonial times. The west wing, the Blues wing, is an all wooden 2 story structure. The hotel is within walking distance of Willemstad and directly on the seashore. This low rise hotel has 100 rooms and 10 suites. The hotel has handicap accessible rooms.

ACCOMMODATIONS

• DELUXE: located in the East wing is called La Belle Alliance with balconies and ocean view. They all have a/c, television, telephone, private bathroom with bath and hairdryer, a small refrigerator, coffeemaker and an in-room safe. Some are equipped with a kitchenette. The deluxe rooms without kitchenette are furnished with two full-size beds and can accommodate a maximum of two adults and two children, while the rooms with kitchenette are furnished with two twin beds or a king-size bed to accommodate two adults maximum. 
• BLUES WING DELUXE: The west wing is called Blues Wing, because it complements the wooden structure of the pier restaurant, Blues, across the water. This is our latest addition to the hotel, housing our most exciting Blues Wing Deluxe rooms, each with a private balcony or terrace overlooking the ocean. They all have a/c, television, telephone, a coffeemaker, a kitchenette, hair dryer and a Jacuzzi as well as an in-room safe. They are furnished with either a king-size bed or two full-size beds and can accommodate a maximum of two adults and two children. 
• 1 BEDROOM SUITE: The 8 spacious Suites are also located in the La Belle Alliance wing and consist of a living room, a separate bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen with microwave and dishwasher, a private bathroom with bath and an extra toilet. The one-bedroom suites can accommodate three persons max., and an additional bed can be installed.

DINING

• BELLE TERRACE: Romantic open-air dining terrace, over- looking the Caribbean Sea, shaded by a giant old Royal Poinciana ("Flamboyant") and rustling palm trees- this is the ultimate tropical experience, and thanks to the ever present trade winds there is always a refreshing breeze to keep you comfortably cool. Our exquisite a la carte menu offers international, Danish, and local cuisine, as well as a weekly 3 course special dinner menu. The Belle Terrace is open for lunch from noon to 2:30 p.m. and for dinner from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. Our midweek attraction (Wednesday evenings) is "Antillean Night", featuring local specialties and live guitar music by "Trio Ekes". On Saturday nights (starting at 7:30 p.m.) we prepare a scrumptious Grill Night for you with an expansive salad bar. Also, you will be treated to live steel-band or Mexican (Mariachis) music.
• THE AVILA CAFE: Charming patio restaurant where we serve our wide-variety Breakfast Buffet from 7:00 to 10:00 am. (on Sundays from 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.). Coffee, tea, espresso and cappuccino are available anytime, and from 2:30 to 7:00 p.m. you can enjoy in between meals of sandwiches, salads, pastries, etc. Also, full bar selection is available from 12:00 noon. 
• BLUES COCKTAIL RESTAURANT: The Blues is our exciting jazz bar and restaurant, located at the end of the pier, where the main attractions are our succulent lobster dishes, cool cocktails, and a spectacular view of the jazziest sunset in the Caribbean. Open every day (except Monday) from 5:00p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Kitchen open for late night dining. Sunset happy hour from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. with complimentary snacks on Thursdays and Saturdays and specialty drinks. Live music on Thursdays (6:30-9:30 p.m.) and on Saturdays (10:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.) 
• SCHOONER BAR: The Schooner Bar is part of the original Avila Beach Hotel, a wooden boat structure, shaded by a tall, white sail, overlooking the Caribbean Sea. It is situated midway between the two beaches, adjacent to the Belle Terrace, and offers quiet relaxation with your favorite drink during the daytime, at sunset, and into the soft, tropical night.

• Wednesday nights - Antillean Night with local food at the Belle Terrace Restaurant with live music by Trio Ekis and staff dressed in folkloric uniforms.
• Thursday - Happy Hour Blues, with live blues & Jazz music from 6:30PM-9:30PM.
• Saturday - BBQ at the Belle Terrace Restaurant with live music (either Mariachi's or Steel band).
